The History of Herodotus

In this world, many men who have formed a great history. For example, Albert Einstein, who has created a new thought and theory that is so brilliant, that eventually misused by various parties to create something that make up history.

However, re-thought in my mind, what if a man not shapes history, but it can be said to "create" history?

Herodotus, a scientist from Halicarnassus, Little Asia, can answer that question. Where he has developed so that our existing facilities in the world can record and evaluate the history and the rock jump.

Herodotus was born about the year 485 BC; he took part in the revolution against the tyrant Lygdamis until later moved to Athens. It was there that he began to systematically record their own history, particularly of the fighting between Greeks and Persians, and the events that preceded it.
Fragmentasi Papirus Herodotus
Perhaps many of the events recorded other people before, but  Herodotus is considered as the first to try to study it regularly, systematically and objectively about the relationship between historical events. That's why  Herodotus is known as the Father of History.

Not only, in manuscript form, Herodotus also records the history systematically via the map.

He also traveled to Egypt and throughout the Mediterranean, where he studied his own culture and foreign cultures, and noted many facts as possible. In theorizing about the history, he applied the traditional Greek thinking about the Golden Mean, a middle and an understanding of the importance of balance as a desired state, in which excess and imbalance are seen as a condition of the disaster.

In the next life,  Herodotus has helped bring the Greek settlements found Thurii in Italy, where he expected to die there in 425 BC. That's a little story about a man who has made a large contribution to the development of human knowledge.
