Mount Qian For Shan, the Mountain Thousand Buddha!!

HISTORY AND LOCATION

Mount Qian Shan Fo or commonly called the Thousand-BuddhaMountain is about 2.5 kilometers (1.55 miles) south of Jinan, Shandong Province. Thousand-Buddha Mountain is one of theplaces of interest in the city of Jinan.
The extent of approximately258 meters (846 feet) from east to west. This place has enabled agarden tour since 1959, which occupies an area of about 166hectares of mountain land. Thousand-Buddha Mountain is calledMount Li in the days of ancient dynasty. However, at the beginning of the Sui Dynasty (581-618) a lot of Buddha statues carved on a stone mountain, so the mountain has become famous, then the name of this mountain changed its name to the Thousand-BuddhaMountain. There are many beautiful places legacy of historycontained in these mountains. We can enjoy the beautiful sceneryalong the way, either by foot or by bus.

TEMPLE XINGGUO

Meanwhile, the Thousand-Buddha Temple which is locatedagainst the cliffs in the southern shrine Xingguo renamed afterrepair during the Tang Dynasty (618M-907M). The temple issituated at half way of the mountain. In this temple there are kinds of sculptures and unique place in between, Baodian Daxiong,Kwan-yin Hall, The Laughing Buddha Hall and Duihua Kiosk. Fourstatues carved in a cliff located southwest of the temple is a stoneinscription for the city of Jinan. In the east of the temple there is the website of The Courtyard Lishan, where the place of Taoism and Buddhism and harmonize with one another in one page, ShunTemple, Temple Luban, Wenchang Pavilion and Kiosk Yilan can be found in it. More than 130 bearded Buddha Statues carved inthe Sui Dynasty in the south side of the mountain. Then there arefour caves in the cliffs, the Longquan Goa, Goa Jile, Goa and GoaQianlou lvzu.

CAVE WANFO
Goa Wanfo length is about 500 meters, was built on the north sideof the mountain and into a place of interest from four well-knowncaves in China (Mogao Cave, Longmen Grottoes and Goa GoaMaiji). according to the myth that the story told by a sculptor there are 23,000 statues of Buddha, Bodhisattva, disciple of Buddha and the Guardian Kings, when the Wei Dynasty (386M-534M), the TangDynasty and Song Dynasty (960M-1279M).

Thousand-Buddha Mountain was recorded as one of the sevenmost beautiful places in the province of Shandong since 1995.Great efforts have been made to add a lot of beautiful placesaround the mountain. such as swimming baths, parks, gardens etcin recent years.
