Glacier or glaciers or glesyer is a huge chunk of ice that forms on the surface of the ground which is the sediment accumulation of snow which petrified during the period of time. Currently, theperennial ice cover about 10% of land on earth. Although manypeople who think there's always glaciers in the polar regions, in fact they can also be in an area of high mountains on all continents,except Australia, there are also even in the high mountains in the area near the equator.
Biafo Glacier
Biafo Glacier is 63 km long glacier in the Karakoram Mountains(Pakistan) at an altitude of 5128 m (16,824 ft) in Hispar La (Pass).This iceberg connecting two ancient kingdoms, Nagar (south ofHunza) in the west to Baltistan in the east. Across 51 of the 63 kmglacier Biafo and all Glacier Hispar to form a 100 km route glacial.
Glacier Biafo track presents a very difficult area because offrequent rock fall along with spectacular scenery and Snow Lakenear the summit. Snow Lake, consists of portions of Glacier Biafoand creeks Sim Gang glacier, which is one of the largest basin inthe world of snow or ice on the outside pole, as deep as 1600 m(one mile).
Biafo glacier is the third longest glaciers outside the polar world,second only to the Siachen Glacier (70km) which is a disputed territory between Pakistan and India and Fedchenko Glacier(77km) in Tajikistan.

Located near the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.Furtwängler Glacier is a small remnant of the great ice that oncecrowned the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. This ice has meltedsignificantly during the last few centuries, between 1912 and 2000,82 percent of glacial ice on the mountain had disappeared. This condition is expected to continue until 2020, some even predict all the glaciers on top of the mountain will be exhausted, even thoughseasonal snow will continue to cover the higher of the mountain forseveral months or even years.
